​World Theater

This question is difficult to resolve, but one thing is certain: everyone is pursuing and imagining their own desires. Human beings are driven by fantasy—this is the essence of life.

In this project, I attempt to extract human collectives from their immediate realities and place them in a constructed "theater"—a desert that metaphorically represents the surreal nature of life and the inherent void at its core. In this space, identity, occupation, race, and gender are leveled; everyone stands on equal footing. Nearly all individuals within this theater are watching a looping film—one that symbolizes the continuous development of human fantasy and desire. Through this design, I aim to uncover the nature of human existence and encourage viewers to reflect on life from a neutral and calm perspective. I believe that by confronting the void and recognizing the fantasy at the heart of humanity, individuals can approach true freedom and holistic well-being.
